Zonmaster vs SageMailer
Cheaper than us at low volume. Considerably more expensive above it.
SageMailer prices on a sliding scale: you pick how many emails you need each month and pay accordingly. It’s a sensible model, and at the bottom of the scale it’s genuinely cheaper than we are.
The crossover comes at around 2,000 emails a month. We’ve written this as fairly as we can, including the cases where SageMailer is the better choice — and for smaller sellers, it often is.
The crossover point
| Emails / review requests per month | SageMailer | Zonmaster |
|---|---|---|
| 200 | Free | $6.99 (Mini, 500 included) |
| 2,000 | $25 | $9.99 (5,000 included) |
| 5,000 | Premium, sliding scale | $9.99 |
| 15,000 | Premium, sliding scale | $19.99 |
| 100,000 | Premium, sliding scale | $29.99 |
Below roughly 2,000 emails a month, SageMailer costs less. Above it, the gap opens quickly and keeps opening.
Where SageMailer is the better choice
If you’re just starting out. Their free plan covers 200 emails a month with review monitoring on unlimited ASINs. Ours covers 150. If you’re doing a handful of orders a week, take theirs — it’s more generous than ours and we’d rather say so.
If you want to pay for exactly what you send. Their sliding scale means 300 emails a month costs the price of 300 emails. We sell fixed tiers, so at low volume you’ll be paying for headroom you don’t use.
If you need VAT invoices generated automatically. SageMailer builds that in. We don’t.
Where Zonmaster is the better choice
Once you’re past about 2,000 emails a month. That’s roughly 700 orders. At that point SageMailer’s Premium tier starts at $25 and rises with volume, while our Basic plan covers 5,000 for $9.99 and our top plan covers 100,000 for $29.99.
If you’d rather pay yearly. SageMailer bills monthly only. Our annual plans work out at roughly ten months’ cost — $99.99 a year for Basic rather than $119.88.
If you want listing alerts, not just review alerts. SageMailer monitors your reviews and feedback. We do that too, and also watch your listings for price changes, Buy Box loss, hijackers, and title, image or dimension edits.
If you run several seller accounts. Ours are included in the plan: 2 on Basic, 5 on Power, 10 on the ZonMaster plan.
What both tools do
Both automate Amazon’s Request a Review button, both send custom emails through Buyer-Seller Messaging, both monitor seller feedback and product reviews, both offer multilingual templates for European, American and Asian marketplaces, and both have a free tier with no credit card required.
Neither of us controls what Amazon’s review request email says. Nobody does. That’s Amazon’s message, sent in the buyer’s own language, and it’s the compliant way to ask. See how Zonmaster’s automatic review requests work.
The short version
Under about 2,000 emails a month, take SageMailer’s free or Basic plan. It’ll cost you less than we will.
Above that, work out what you send in a month and compare. If you’re sending 5,000 or more, the difference is several times over — and it doesn’t shrink as you grow.
